Wedding Send Off Photo Ideas | Gabriella Sutherland Photography
When it comes to send off ideas for your wedding day, there are lots of fun ways to include your guests and celebrate before the wedding night ends. Below are some fun photo ideas and tips for each one!
FLOWER PETAL SEND OFF
PROS:
Vintage feel to photos and old fashioned.
Great for daylight or night time.
Can be done at different times during the wedding day (for example, right after the ceremony or at the end of the night).
CONS:
Some venues may not allow specific flowers- make sure to check with your venue on rules for this.
BUBBLE SEND OFF
PROS:
Vintage vibes for your wedding gallery and the kids love it!
No time limit on photos- allowing for more opportunity for fun send off pictures/poses/etc.
CONS:
There’s really no cons I can think of.
TIP:
Buy the bubble guns for a bigger bubble effect!
NO MESS STREAMER POPPERS
PROS:
Great for daylight photos.
CONS:
While they are no mess streamers and stay attached, it may take a minute to gather them back up. But that’s what the wedding party is there for!
TIP:
I recommend having a countdown and gradually releasing the poppers as the bride and groom walk down for more of a gradual effect.
SPARKLER SEND OFF
PROS:
It’s traditional and always a crowd pleaser.
CONS:
Fear of catching on fire and getting hit with them on accident from guests who have had a little too much to drink. Uncle Eddie perhaps.
TIP:
Purchase the 22 inch sparklers.
Bring multiple lighters.
Have lighters throughout the line so that the sparklers get lit up faster with a more even effect.
GLOW STICKS AND FIBER OPTIC WANDS
PROS:
Great photo effects with fun lighting for a unique touch.
No time limit.
Can be used during reception dancing photos for a fun effect.
CONS:
None!
TIP:
I would recommend taking these when the sun is completely gone for more of a lighting effect.
Always make sure to confirm with your venue what their rules and regulations are for send offs. Have another fun idea? Let me know in the comments!
